Hal is being highly underestimated here. His shield has both tanked and contained supernovas, which is much better then anything even Beerus has shown in terms of durability. His ring also has auto-shields, which can react to protect him from the likes of Superman, so Goku isn't blitzing him. A casual blast from his ring has blown up planets, and he's even defeated the entire JL single-handedly, that includes Supes.
