Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip to Naruto ?
Hi guys
I have a question about Naruto Shippuden:
Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip to Naruto ?
Also, I have two questions about the character Pain that I want to ask:
1- Is his name Pain or Nagato ?
2- Is he god ?
and if he is, is he a god like Thor in the Marvel comics, or is he THE GOD ?
I know I asked these questions before on Anime Vice, but I still don't get it.
I'm sorry for being stupid, but its something that Can't understand.
How can one guy have two names and two appearances ?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip to Naruto ?
Yes Shippuden is indeed a timeskip of Naruto.
Nagato (long red hair) is a member of the akatsuki and uses fake bodies to do things. There are 6 bodies that Nagato uses and they all go by the name of "pain" (short orange hair). I guess an easy way to put it is than Pain is just a puppet and Nagato is the one pulling the strings.
No he is not god. Nothing of the sort. Just strong.
Hopefully I answered your questions good enough :/.

OK, let me recap and tell me if I said something wrong:
1- Pain is One of six bodys that Nagato uses.
2- Nagato is the one who controls Pain .
3- Pain is not a god like Thor in the Marvel Comics, and he is not THE GOD.
Are the things that said correct ?
If not, then please correct me.

1. Well, there's 7 bodies in total. There's Nagato's own body. Then there's the 6 bodies of Pain.

These guys ^^ they are all bodies of Pain.
2. Yes, Nagato controls Pain.
3. Correct. Neither Nagato or Pain are god, gods, or godlike.

Thanks for the welcome. I agree with Dream back in old AV. I don't remember if they said he was a god in Viz Media. I'm pretty sure they worship like they do with their leaders.

I don't watch English dubs, though I have to admit that they did an awesome job with naruto and Naruto Shippudden.
In fact, I might check it out.
As for calling Pain god, I am sure that they call him god, though I wasn't sure if they meant a god like Thor in
the Marvel comics or THE GOD.
Kobra said that he, Pain, isn't any of them, what about you ?
Also, can you tell me how to upload a picture for a battle ?
I have been trying to do that for some time, but couldn't get it right.

Speaking of Viz Media, do they dub any other anime series besides Naruto ?

Viz Media and Neon Alley dub Blue Exorcist, Gargantia. Those are the recent shows I remember. Viz had done a ton of anime series.

FUNimation dubbed One Piece, but Viz Media did Case Closed. However, FUNimation took the licensing for Case Closed. They haven't redubbed it. (If I remember correctly).
As for the images, you click on the Host Image button. After hosting it, you copy and paste the code that the host site gives you.

Thanks for the help man, I really appreciate it
But you forgot one more question:

It's in the same comment that you found the question about uploading images in.
I apologies if I'm being annoying or anything negative, I just want to understand the events of Naruto and Naruto
Shippuden so that I don't get confused.

Re: Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip to Naruto ?
The people of his village call him a God because he is their undisputed ruler. He is not a God in the sense like TOAA or any god like being say Thor or Odin. His six bodies are called the six paths of pain each of those bodies have different abilities and the bodies can be replaced if one is destroyed, sealed, etc. Nagato controls all these bodies with chakra receivers (black piercings) and can channel his chakra into the bodies and control them all from a great distance.

Wait, does he have six bodies or seven ?
Also, won't he rain out of chakra if he used this ability for too long ?
And what does TOAA mean ?
And if he is not a god, then does that mean that he is THE GOD ?

1. He has the six bodies he controls which are the six paths of pain
Then there is his body he is called Nagato
2. Yes he can run out of chakra but he has a crap load of it.
3. TOAA stands for The One Above All, Which is the Big G of the Marvel verse he is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient.
4. He is not a God in the sense that you are thinking of. Think of it like this it would be like Hitler being called God. Does that mean he is THE GOD of course not it it just a title that was bestowed to him either by himself or others calling him that.

Yes, here are all of my question:
1- Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip for Naruto ?
2- Who is Pain ? and who is Nagato ?
3- How can Pain exist without Nagato ?
Because in the second Akatsuki, Pain was the leader and Nagato was dead.
4- Is Pain a god like thor in the Marvel comics, or is he THE GOD ?
I know I asked you this question before, but I thought I put here as well.
These are all my question

Re: Is Naruto Shippuden a time skip to Naruto ?
1. Yes
2. Pain are puppet corpses (all six are referred to as pain) Yahiko, Nagato and Konan were trained by Jiraiya. Yahiko died and Nagato used Yahiko body as one of the six paths of pain. Nagato is also related to Naruto they are from the Uzumaki Clan.
3. You learn later on that Nagato did not die and in fact survived. Nagato does not die until after the fight with Naruto and he brings back the people he killed during his attack on Konoha. Also each person with a rinnegan can make the six paths of pain using corpses. Nagato had his six paths then after he died. Obito took Nagato rinnegan and made his own out of the jinchuuriki.
4. No

He calls himself a god because he's got the same eyes as the Sage of Six Paths, but even in his prime he's no Sage of Six Paths in terms of power.
