Name: Judas Maxwell Churchill, AKA the Hazard.

Age: 24

Gender: male

Race: human

Appearance: 5'7, 180 lbs, with a slim yet sturdy build. He has pale skin, proof of his many hours spent inside, seeming to prefer the dark over the light. He's usually seen wearing a long black duster, faded jeans, a white, short sleeved T-shirt, and black combat boots. His hair is light brown, cropped short, and slightly spiked back, clashing with his strange, murky gray eyes. He also has a distinct mark on his left cheek, seemingly a brand, that forms some sort of symbol belonging to some strange language.

History: Judas was born on a dark, gloomy night, in Cincinnati, Ohio. His only family in the world since the day he entered it, was his mother. His father had left them before he was born, but Judas didn't really care. From the description his mother gave of his father, Judas was pretty damn sure he wouldn't get along with him, anyway. Most of his life was normal, relatively speaking. He grew up helping his mom around her store, he went to school and got average grades, he even played baseball for a few years in middle school. His life not only seemed average, but uneventful as well. The biggest problem he had ever faced in his short life, was making friends.

It wasn't until his final days of high school, after turning 18, that Judas' began his long journey on the road of bad luck. One day, after returning home from school, Judas discovered that his mother's shop was dropping in sales, and would soon close, unless sufficient payment was given to the landlord of the building. Judas, knowing how much his mother enjoyed her job and lifestyle, did everything he could to earn more money, in an attempt to save her shop from closing. However, despite his many hours of hard work, in multiple different jobs, he just couldn't earn the amount of money he needed to make a difference. Desperate, Judas began searching everywhere in the city of Cincinnati, for a high paying job.

What Judas found was not what he expected; an illegal fight club, held in various abandonned storage buildings throughout the city. Despite knowing that he knew jack shit about fighting, and how illegal this sort of thing was, Judas signed himself up. He wen't to every fight he was offered, never missing or declining a match, even though he lost every fight he entered. Eventually, though, his skill improved nicely over the course of the next few months, as he began evening out his tallied victories and losses; earning himself a fair amount of money, and some underground fame in the process, as his ring name was "the Hazard". One day, Judas was approached by an elderly man, dressed in an expensive suit, being flanked by large, imposing men. The elderly man introduced himself as Old Sam, and cheerfully offered Judas a deal; if he could beat his full line-up of fighters in the ring, and fought for him, he would pay him 100,000$ dollars.

Judas was shocked by this offer, as well as a bit suspicious. He almost had enough money, now, to pay off his mother's dept, anyway. But if he accepted the old man's offer, he would have enough have enough to pay off the dept, as well as buy the building from the owner. After making his decision, Judas chose to accept the old man's offer, and shook his hand to seal the deal. From that day on, Judas fought and, eventually, beat all of the old man's fighters, becomming apart of Old Sam's group. These fights gave him the money he needed to pay off his mother's debts, buy off her shop, and even buy them a new place. For awhile, it seemed like Judas' life was pretty great. But, as he would soon find out, things were going to take a turn for the worst.

Around a year later, when Judas had graduated from school, and was searching for a nice college to go to, Old Sam called and told him to meet at a warehouse, as per usual for fights. However, things were much different from the normal fights he had been in before. The fights were always bloody and violent, often involving broken bones and blood, but that night the fights were especially brutal, almost cruel. The fighters all beat their opponent until they stopped moving, and had to be carried out of the ring. Tgis unsettled Judas a bit, but he didn't decline his fight when he was called. Once he got into the ring, he fought with the same calculating skill that he usually did. His opponent fought ferociously, breaking his left arm in the process, but with difficulty, Judas won the fight.

As he turned to leave the ring, however, Old Sam stopped him and told him to finish off his opponent. Judas was confused; he had already knocked his opponent out cold, though he was still clearly breathing. That's when Judas realized, with a cold shiver, that every loser who entered the ring that night hadn't just been beaten to a pulp...they had all been beaten to death. Disgusted and horrified, Judas refused the order, and left the ring, heading for the exit. Before he even got halfway there, however, Judas was knocked unconcious, from a heavy blow to the tenple. When he awoke, he discovered that he was strapped down to a strange medical bed, in a dark room, with his arm enveloped in what appeared to be an odd looking cast.

After calling out into the shadows for a few minutes, a familiar figure stepped into view; it was Old Sam. He was frowning deeply at him, and seemed very annoyed. He calmly told Judas that had high hopes for him, and that he disappointed him greatly, by refusing to do as he said. Then, after a few moments of silence, he then offered him another chance to redeem himself by fighting in another match, and actually kill his opponent this time. Judas agreed, though he was lying. He was very a good at lying, and seemed to have convinced Sam to free him. The old man unbuckled the straps and began to help him up. At that moment, Judas lashed out with his cast covered arm, in an attempt to knock Old Sam out. However, to Judas' shock, the old business man caught the blow easily, with no visible effort. Judas cursed and tried to pull his arm free, but to no avail, as Sam gripped his arm with incredible strength.

The old man looked angry, glaring darkly at him. He then told him that it was very unwise to anger him, and stated flatly that he was a true disappointment, before gripping his arm so tight that he shattered the cast and began squeezing his fractured arm, causing Judas to scream in pain. But just when Judas thought things couldn't get worse, his arm began to turn to stone. Judas panicked and continued to attempt to free his arm, but to no avail. And just as it seemed like the old man would keep his hold until Judas' entire body was enveloped, he suddenly released his grip, allowing Judas to fall flat on his ass, the stone effect having only infected up to his shoulder. Sam smiled at him, a cold, cruel smile, that caused Judas to shudder. He wasted no time in running away as fast as he possibly could. Just before he left, he looked back at Old Sam, expecting to see him giving chace. Oddly enough, he was standing in the same spot as before, his hands clasped behind his back, as he continued to smile ominously at Judas. And, though it could have been his imagination, Judas could have sworn he saw the old man's eyes glow red, like hot coles.

Cradling his now petrified arm, Judas found his way out of the warehouse and ran as fast as he could back to his mother's house. What Judas found upon his arrival, however, was his house up in flames, with his mother screaming inside. Horrified, Judas attempted to get inside to save her. Just as he reached the door, he suddenly felt the left side of his face burning, as if it were on fire. Judas screamed in pain and fell to the street, clawing at his face. After a few minutes of intense, excruciating pain, the burning subsided, leaving Judas with some sort of strange symbol branded into his left cheek. He quickly struggled to his feet, despite feeling very weak, and continued to try and make his way towards the door, shuffling forward slowly, his body feeling like led. He didn't care about the brand, or the pain, or the fatigue, or even the disturbing fact that was apparently still able to move his arms and fingers, despite not being able to feel it. All he cared about was saving his mother.

Yet, no matter how fast he tried to move or how hard he pushed himself, the house didn't seem to get any closer. All Juxas could do was try in vain to save her, crying as he helplessly listened to her screams as she burned to death. He eventually fell to his knees and screamed in anger and agony, as the screams of his mother died away, along with her. Their house now completely engulfed in flames. Judas could hear the sirens of the fire trucks screeching, but they sounded muffled and so far away. His mind began to go numb with pain and exhaustion, as he fell to the street, once more, where he began to pass out. The last sounds he heard before falling into darkness, was deep, cold laughter, that chilled his blood to ice. A laugh that Judas would never forget.

Upon waking up, Judas found himself in a hospital room, on a bed, with his right arm linked to an I.V, while his left was in a new cast. The doctor entered and confirmed his fears; his mother had died in the fire, and his house had burnt down. Judas could feel himself begin to cry once again, the memories all flooding back to him. However, before he could begin to mourn his mother, a police offider entered the room. With him being the only person at the scene of the crime, and covered in blood, of course he was going to be the suspected murderer. Before the officer could come any closer, Judas flung a tray from a nearby table, at his face, causing him to stumble back. Judas then decked the doctor and quickly broke the window using his stone arm. Luckily, they were only on the second floor, allowing Judas to climb down and escape, running as far as his legs would carry him.

For a long time, Judas walked around in a numb daze, just aware enough to know to eat, drink, sleep, and avoid the cops. But after awhile, Judas' shock and pain turned to anger and a deep lust for vengeance. Using the Old Sam's description, both physical and strange ability wise, he began to research his mother's supposed murderer, using any method available to him, be it rumors, internet, or even books. What his descriptions pieced together was something that sent shivers up his spine; apparently Old Sam was a demon. And not just any demon, but a demon who makes deals with mortals, in exchange for dark deeds or the occasional soul. That would explain why he was set up to kill someone. It would also explain what the mark on his face was. Judas was, in fact, cursed by Old Sam. Other than death or damnation, that was the result of breaking a deal with a devil. Though Judas would have preffered death, as opposed to what he had been through.

With this disturbing knowledge, and the desire of vengeance burning in his heart, Judas began to obsess over the supernatural. He made it his lifes work to hunt down and kill demons, vampires, and werewolves, among other things. After five years of searching and killing, Judas was no closer to finding Old Sam than when he had started out. So, he would just have to settle for the pleasure of wiping such vile creatures from the face of the earth, until the day he could finally track down Old Sam and kill him with his own two hands.

Powers/abilities: Judas is a very skilled hand to hand fighter, and his indestructible petrified left arm gives him incredible striking strength as well as the advantage of feeling no pain from it. Other than hand to hand, Judas also carries with him, an imposing, modified 45. Magnum, with all the various kinds of bullets you could imagine, such as silver, holy water filled, cryo, and even explosive rounds.

DC: wall level, with stone arm and magnum. Small building+ if he spams his double explosiblve rounds, of which he nly has 6 of.

Durability: wall level. Small building level, if he manages to block with his stone arm.

Speed: peak human reaction speed, with faster than the eye fighting speed.

Stamina: impressively high. He is capable of fighting multiple opponents in succession, without getting tired.

Fun facts: Judas likes baseball. Candy caines are Judas' comfort food, and as such, he is constantly seen gnawing on one. Judas is prone to night terrors, as a result of the scarring events he suffered through. Judas is scared of swimming, because is...well, less than buoyant, what with his arm being made of solid stone.
